Micheal Scott

Michael Gary Scott (born March 15, 1964, in Scranton, Pennsylvania), is a fictional character played by Steve Carell, who is a former branch manager of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, The Michael Scott Paper Company, and later Dunder Mifflin Sabre. He is the main character of the first seven seasons of The Office. Michael served as branch manager in two stints, the first of which spanned from the pilot episode to the Season 5 episode Two Weeks when he chose to form the eponymous Michael Scott Paper Company. Scott returned to the branch manager position in the episode Broke and, for a period in Season 6, shared co-managerial duties with Jim Halpert. Michael eventually resumed his position as sole branch manager following Dunder Mifflin's merger with Sabre and remained in the position until his move to Colorado in the Season 7 episode Goodbye, Michael.

Dwight Shrute

Dwight Kurt Schrute III (born January 20, 1972) is a character on NBC's The Office portrayed by Rainn Wilson. He was originally based on Gareth Keenanfrom the original UK version of The Office. Dwight is the "Assistant to the Regional Manager" in selling paper, despite lacking social skills and common sense. He is also the best saleman at Dunder Mifflin Despite his initial personal dislike of Jim Halpert, the two are a very effective sales team. He is one of the two deuteragonists of seasons 1-7, as well as one of the two main characters of seasons 8 and 9, alongside Jim Halpert.

Jim Halpert

James "Jim" Halpert (born October 1, 1978) is a fictional character played by John Krasinski in the television series The Office and was originally based on Tim Canterbury in the UK version of The Office. He was a salesman at what was formerly Dunder Mifflin-Sabre until he was fired (he quit, but he was offered severance pay by Dwight) and later pursued his company Athleap. He is one of the deuteragonists of seasons 1-7 and one of the main characters of seasons 8 and 9, alongside Dwight Schrute. He married receptionist then sales manager, Pam Beesley in season 6 while she was pregnant with their first of two children.

Pam Beesley Halpert

Pamela "Pam" Morgan Halpert '(née Beesly) is a fictional character played by Jenna Fischer in the television series The Office. She is based on Dawn Tinsleyin The Office UK. She is married to Jim Halpert and has two children -- a girl named Cecelia "Cece" Marie Halpert and a boy named Phillip Halpert. Pam is generally polite toward others. She enjoys drawing and painting. Pam is the receptionist at Dunder Mifflin's Scranton, PA branch. She appears shy and hesitant at times, but she is very kind and has a good sense of humor. ("Pilot") She had been dating warehouse employee Roy Anderson for eight years and engaged to him for three. Roy's hesitance to set a date for their wedding often leaves Pam hurt; Michael, however, finds it hilarious. ("Pilot")

Ryan Howard

Ryan Bailey Howard (born May 5, 1979) is a fictional character played by B.J. Novak in the television series The Office. Ryan Howard, as the newest hire in the Scranton branch was initially extremely confused as to how the office worked and often acts as the straight man in his role as the temp. He is often mild mannered and meek in comparison to the louder personalities in the Office. Similar to Jim, Ryan has a poor outlook on Michael's management style and doesn't intend to work at Dunder Mifflin long term. He eventually transitions to sales in Season 3 (though he ends up never making a sale) and in Season 4 takes on Jan's job as Vice President of Sales. After his promotion to VP, his ego swells and he develops an elitist, "New Yorker" personality. He's also known for his volatile, on/off relationship with Kelly.
